PRIVACY POLICY
MEnYOUTH Wealth Academy, LLC ("we," "us," or "our") operates this website, platform, and our associated digital learning environments, including online Zoom webinars. We are deeply committed to protecting the privacy of our users, particularly high school students who may be minors.
While our LLC is proudly based in Georgia, our digital platform and Zoom webinars reach students across various U.S. states and international jurisdictions. Accordingly, we design our data practices to comply with federal laws, Georgia state statutes, and relevant interstate and international youth privacy frameworks.
1. Information We Collect
We collect information that you provide directly to us, as well as automatic data generated through your platform activity and webinar attendance.
Account & Webinar Registration Information: Names, email addresses, phone numbers, birthdates (to verify minor/adult status), and passwords.
Parental/Guardian Information: For users under 18, we collect parent or legal guardian names and email addresses to obtain verified parental consent.
Simulated Trading Data: Historical records of virtual trades, portfolio balances, risk profiles, and performance metrics within our paper trading simulator.
Zoom Webinar & Mentorship Activity: Attendance logs, chat messages, Q&A submissions, poll responses, or reflections submitted during live Zoom sessions or on our community forums.
Technical Logs: IP addresses, browser types, device information, and operating systems collected automatically via cookies and integrated third-party applications (like Zoom) to ensure site security and proper functionality.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use the collected information strictly to deliver a secure educational and mentoring environment.
To Administer the Platform and Webinars: Creating accounts, managing Zoom webinar registrations, tracking simulated portfolio performance, and providing support.
To Deliver Mentorship Content: Tailoring educational tracks regarding cyberbullying, digital footprints, and peer pressure safely.
To Ensure Safety and Compliance: Verifying parental consent for minors, monitoring Zoom chats and community spaces for bullying, and protecting against unauthorized access.
Communications: Sending system updates, webinar links, educational content notifications, or critical security alerts. We do not send marketing offers for live or real-money brokerage accounts.
3. Sharing and Disclosure of Information
We value your trust and do not sell, rent, or trade student or user information to third-party advertisers. Information is only shared under the following limited conditions:
With Parents or Guardians: We may share account progress, webinar attendance, simulation performance, or community activity with a registered minor user's parent or legal guardian upon request.
Third-Party Service Providers: We share data with trusted service providers—such as database hosting platforms and Zoom Video Communications, Inc.—solely to facilitate our live webinars and backend operations under strict data-protection agreements.
Legal Obligations & Safety: We may disclose personal data if required to do so by law, or in the good faith belief that such action is necessary to comply with legal processes, protect student safety, or address severe cross-border issues like self-harm or targeted cyberbullying.
4. Cross-Border & Multi-State Jurisdictional Compliance
Because our online platform reaches students across multiple states and countries, we align our safeguards with comprehensive data privacy standards:
Federal COPPA Compliance: We comply strictly with the U.S. Children's Online Privacy Protection Act. Parents universally hold the right to review their child's information, request its deletion, and refuse further data collection.
U.S. State Privacy Laws (Georgia, California, etc.): We comply with the Georgia Data Breach Notification Law (O.C.G.A. § 10-1-910 et seq.) for our local operations. We also respect the heightened privacy rights of out-of-state students, ensuring no student data is ever used for targeted behavioral advertising, data-brokering, or commercial profiling.
International Frameworks (e.g., GDPR / UK GDPR / PIPEDA): For international students accessing our webinars from Canada, the UK, Europe, or other regions, we process personal data based on legitimate educational consent. We implement strict data minimization, meaning we do not request or store sensitive international identification data.
5. Live Webinar Layout & Safeguards (Zoom Privacy)
To maintain a safe learning environment during live multi-state and international Zoom webinars:
No Public Video Broadcasting of Minors: Webinars are configured so that attendee video and audio are disabled by default to protect the identities of minor students.
Monitored Interactive Features: Public chat features may be restricted or heavily moderated by MEnYOUTH mentors to prevent peer pressure or cyberbullying during live broadcasts.
Recording Disclosures: If a webinar session is recorded for future educational playback, students will be notified upon entry. No student's personal identifying information will be included in the saved video file unless explicitly permitted.
6. Data Security and Retention
Security Measures: We implement industry-standard encryption (SSL/TLS) to protect data in transit and at rest. Access to user records is strictly restricted to authorized employees and mentors who require it to run the programs.
Retention Policy: We retain personal information only for as long as an account remains active, or as long as necessary to fulfill the educational purposes outlined here. Accounts inactive for extended periods will be securely purged.
